How To Open Sparkling Wine

The holiday is upon us again, time for a quick reminder on how to open sparkling wine!

First – Remove the foil from around the top

Second – Remove the cage by twisting the ring, once you remove it, keep your hand or thumb over the cork, it could fly off at any moment.

Third – Holding the bottle at 45 degrees, twist the cork and the bottle in opposite directions, keeping pressure on the cork. The cork will begin to move, and release quickly without pressure. You should hear a small hiss, not a big pop.

Fourth – Once it’s open, pour and enjoy!
