With back to back Charles Smith wines, it’s time to dig into Vino Rosé 2015
Vino Rosé 2015
Sight: A beautiful, bashful pink.
Smell: Cantaloupe and honeydew come up, with little notes of strawberries and carnations. There’s a hint of something candied like about it, like fruity cotton candy.
Sip: The body is bright, but not overly so, and instead pleasantly rolls about on the palate, giving off pops of cantaloupe, honeydew, raspberry, and subtle cherries. Hints of orange zest play in the background.
Savor: The finish is mild, but continues on with good touches of cherry, floral notes, and melon.
When I think of a light, easy going rosé, Vino Rosé knocks it out of the park. The body is lively without being overwhelming, and the lazy nature on the palate mixed with fresh fruit, makes it almost friendly. If this wine were a dog, it would be inquisitive, and always loving to be pet and play. For me, Vino Rosé is a no brainer, must try.
